Prepping For a Busy Week

Good Morning!  I hope everyone had a nice weekend.  I definitely feel refreshed again.  I took full advantage of the snow storm and hid inside all most of the weekend.  I spent Saturday just relaxing and cleaning up around the house.  Sunday I did some errands in the morning followed by a very challenging 6 mile run.  Challenging because I was dodging puddles and snow banks and trying my hardest not to slip on ice.

The Central Park Half Marathon that I signed up for is now two weeks away.  Thanks to in-climate weather and hectic/stressful work schedules, I don’t feel even close to prepared for this race.  I had also planned on a 10 mile run this weekend, but didn’t feel prepared and also the snow kind of made it difficult.NYCR_CentralPark_Marathons_WEB_420x175_MAIN

So, this week I plan on focusing on my training much more (Way to be last minute there…) I have yet another busy work schedule, plus afterwork activities planned for almost every night.  I’m going to try my best to avoid distractions (Goodbye internet this week, I will terribly miss you) and stay incredibly focused.  Here is my plan for the week.

Monday- Strength and Stretching

Tuesday- 8 mile run

Wednesday- Strength and Stretching

Thursday 5 mile run, Gymnastics class at night

Friday- 8-10 mile run

Saturday- 4 mile run

Sunday- Snowboarding

How was your weekend?

Did you run outside in the snow or stay locked inside?

  1. I got out and about, but there was no snow on this side of the country! I was a little jealous of everyone else’s snow, but not enough to get up to the snowy mountains near me. I guess I was a little lazy this weekend!

  2. I just had a typical weekend with the usual weekend stuff (groceries, cleaning, laundry). The weather was beautiful and calling for a run – but snow and a jogging stroller = not fun, so no running outside for me!
