Since last January when I started my half marathon training, intervals were part of my running schedule. I kept putting them off and decided that today was the day to finally incorporate intervals into my workout.

Not my track- it’s too dark out in the mornings now for me to take any pictures
I headed to the local high school since they have a track. I figured this would be the easiest way for me to start out. I wanted to keep things simple so I did one fast lap around the track followed by two slow jogs around the track. I did this three times, I figured that was a good number for being my first interval workout.
After heading home I went to the gym to get some strength training in for my legs. I did a few quick exercises and headed home.
Nothing too crazy, because I still have gymnastics class later on tonight. Speaking of gymnastics, I’m super excited for tonight! I felt much better last time than I did our first day in the advanced class so I’m hoping with my fears a little more subsided, I’ll be able to accomplish even more tonight!

wow, that’s great that you’re doing all these workouts! sprints are always so much harder to me than long-distance running!
This reminds me that I really need to start running intervals! I love the challenge you can get in a shorter period of time. They always wear me out but feel great!
